Terms & Conditions
  1. If your Puja site address is out of the 16 Zones provided in the map, you will not be entitled to take part in the Asian Paints Sharad Shamman 2013 and your entry will be not qualify. However, we are making best efforts to increase the number of zones year on year to cover as many sites as possible.
  2. Contest is only open to residents of India.
  3. All entries must be received at www.sharadshamman.asianpaints.com or on www.facebook.com/asianpaintssharadshamman by 14th Oct'13 23:59 hours.
  4. All entries must be submitted in a digital form via the Web site or Facebook. Only a fully filled up form will qualify you as a contestant.
  5. You can submit images taken with a digital camera or images taken with a film-based camera and scanned into a digital format.
  6. Mailed and emailed entries are not accepted. We will not be held responsible for mailed slides, negatives, or prints.
  7. There is no constraint on the number of photographs per user but you may only enter a particular photo once per the contest month and the same image should not be repeated.
  8. Links to other web sites added to photo descriptions are prohibited on sharadshamman.asianpaints.com. If you put a link to another web site in your photo's description area, your photo will be disqualified and removed from the contest.
  9. All decisions of the judges are final.
  10. All matters will come under the jurisdiction of local courts of Mumbai.
  11. Contest is not open to agencies, employees or contractors of Asian Paints and companies connected with the prize draws, or their families.
  12. No purchase is necessary.
  13. Prizes are offered as stated and are non-exchangeable or transferable. No cash alternatives will be provided.
  14. We will randomly select and notify the winner(s).
  15. Once notified by us, winners will need to contact us to arrange collection or delivery of their prize. If collection is being made in person, the winner will need to bring proof of identity e.g. birth certificate, driver's licence or passport.
  16. We reserve the right to pick alternative winners if the original winners do not contact us within 14 working days of being told they have won.
  17. We will list winners' names and locations on our website for at least one month after the prize draw.
  18. We reserve the right to publish the name(s) and location(s) of winner(s) in the website and on Facebook.
  19. Once submitted the images are a property of Asian Paints Limited and can be used for promotional purposes.
  20. We reserve the right to cancel or suspend any prize at any point, without liability to the prize-givers or winners.
  21. Our decision is final on all matters and we will not enter into any further correspondence.
  22. By entering, you agree to be bound by these rules in relation to this contest.
  23. This competition is open to all residents of India, except for employees and agencies of Asian Paints or any other person connected to this promotion. The promoter (Asian Paints Limited) reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants.

    1. These will be chosen from the 12 shortlisted pandals.
    2. The pandal might or might not be an Asian Paints Sharad Shamman winner under any category , in the previous years.
  2. 1 Discovery of the year
    1. Best Pandal among those which never won the Asian Paints Sharad Shamman Award under any category , in the previous years.
    2. This will be chosen from the 12 shortlisted pandals.
  3. 1 Best Pratima Shilpi - Artisan of the year
    1. This will be chosen basis the idol of the 12 shortlisted pandals.
    2. The pandal might or might not be an Asian Paints Sharad Shamman winner under any category, in the previous years.
  4. 1 Best Pratima Discovery Emerging new Artist *
    1. This will be chosen from the additional 2 shortlisted pandals - over and above the 12 pandals shortlisted.
    2. Judges will not visit these 2 pandals on the judgement night. The winner will be decided from the photos of the idols previously clicked by our professional photographer.
    3. The award will be given to a new artisan of Idol , who has never won any Asian Paints Sharad Shamman winner under any category , in the previous years.
    4. The pandal associated with this artisan must also be a pandal which has never won any Asian Paints Sharad Shamman winner under any category , in the previous years.
  5. Judging Criteria :
    The final scores will have 50-50 weightage of the Supervisors score and the Jury score. Judging Parameters will be as detailed out below :

      3. Compatibility (Theme, pujo and pratima)

* Please Note :
This award has been introduced in 2013 to encourage new talent (artisan) and exposure to a new Pandal . If in a certain year , the entries competing in this category are found to be lacking the excellence standards of Asian Paints Sharad Shamman then we reserve the right to not declare any winners under this category , for that particular year.

  2. Sukalyan Bhattacharya
    Internationally known choreographer, dancer, teacher and producer. He is also the Director of Dance section of Bharatiya Kala Kendra, New Jersey.
  3. Mimi Chakraborty
    TV serial and movie actress who began her career as a model and has won people's heart with her acting in mega-serial 'Gaaner Opaare'.
  4. Indradeep Dasgupta
    Kolkata born film music composer Indradeep has made himself popular after his work in ‘Mohul Bonir Shereng’ in 2003.
  5. Abhishek Dutta
    Abhishek Dutta, a budding designer from Kolkata believes diversity in garment designing.
